Job: Production and Technical Director

Role Type: Full Time, 40-45 hours per week, Sunday - Thursday plus additional events

Reports To: Powell Grisham, Lead Pastor

Direct work experience required, college degree preferred

Responsibilities: 

Provide Leadership and Oversight of Production, Contractors and Volunteers

Provide Leadership and Oversight of all Technical Aspects 

  • Build Community

  • Cast Vision for the Service and Events we execute

  • Develop Staff and Key Volunteer Leadership

  • Evaluate Production Quality and Cultivate Growth

  • Meet with Direct Report on a Regular Basis

  • Collaborate with staff and contractors on the execution of Sunday services and events 

  • Equip and lead a team of staff, volunteers and contractors to fulfill AVL and production needs.

  • Develop and maintain schedules that ensure volunteer staffing for Sunday service environments and events within AVL and Production. 

  • Ensure that the team and equipment are ready for Sunday service execution by Thursday.

  • Support all technical systems and components of Wiregrass Church. 

  • Collaborate to create, plan, and execute set designs in all worship environments. 

  • Ensure the technical success and consistency of all AVL production.  

  • Develop and implement a plan to maintain and support all AVL equipment. 

  • Manage all outside contractors responsible for AVL upgrades, installs and repairs.

  • Oversee department budget. 

  • Continue to maintain a working knowledge of the trends of AVL as they relate to church production. 

  • Update career knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

  • Computers and graphics 

  • Propresenter, Jands Vista, and audio mixing on digital mixing consoles for live events and monitors 

  • AVL systems, with electronic and mechanical knowledge to identify repairs 

  • Ability to work comfortably at heights including man lifts and ladders 

  • In the day-to-day operation of AVL production, it is necessary at times to lift and carry heavy equipment and supplies such as speakers, lighting fixtures, road cases and supplies up and down stairs. Any item over 40 pounds requires the assistance of a second person.
